What Is This???
Can someone identify the name and purpose of this cable attached to the underside of the interior on my ‘73 bb Coupe?
Is it some type of safety cable or does it act as a ground for something?
Thanks,
Greg

Seat belt safety cable so the belt bolts don't rely on just the floor fiberglass in an accident - they're connected to the frame.

Thanks!
The cable runs through the loop welded to the frame.
You’d think the cable would have been bolted to the frame rather than just run through that loop.
oh well, I’ll clean it up store it and reattach during reassembly.

I would have guessed that the cable was the emgcy brake cable.

The 75 (74L???) 75 had a loop with a bolt through it instead of the crimped over part. Not sure what happened after that

Starting in 76 they had steel floor pans and didn't need the cable anymore.
