Default Differences in Ignition Condensers?

I was browsing around ebay and NAPAonline at points and condensers and am wondering about any differences in the condensers:
GM part #1932004, D204 seems to be the stock NOS Delco unit.
NAPA lists:
MPE RR175SB @ $9.70
ECH RR175 @ $16.50
Is there any way to tell a higher quality unit - or in this case is it just that the more expensive is Echlin branded?

(Did C1-2 and C3 forum searches but didn't turn up much.)

Wondering spurred by this discussion: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...usa-made-caliper-kits-for-1966-and-tune-up-parts

My alternator looks like brand new but the regulator may be original as the case cover has splotches of rust pitting. I plan to buy a replacement and keep my old one for spare parts.

My Fluke meter has such a test setting, but I also have a separate capacitor testing meter as well. Used for both home and auto and HVAC work. Most home HVAC techs have these meters........maybe you have a friend that does this work.

Me thinks, a 12 month warrantee or 36 month warrantee on the NAPA condensers.
Either way, you will most likely receive a china made condenser.
Doing a e-bay search myself using the Delco-Remy 1932004 number several old stock are still available and USA made for around the same price delivered as the cheaper NAPA.
A Side Note, on the Delco-Remy, you will receive the condenser only as the bracket is a separate part number, 1869573

Thanks for the reply and no worries on the bracket. (In the '79 GM parts book the bracket was 11¢!)
Is there anything about an NOS condenser that would deteriorate over time?

A condenser is a capacitor. Capacitors of old deteriorate with age, even if not used, particularly if not used. A modern condenser/capacitor is going to be better and have a higher chance of lasting much longer.
