Not sure if I asked this question but here we go. The original bolt was 6" and the replacement is 8". What will I expect out of the longer bolt? Difference in height, handling or whatever else?

Lower ride height, that's it.
Possibly slightly better handling due to slightly lower cg, but probably not enough for any non-racer to notice.
Maybe some tire-to-fender rub if you bring it too low and/or your tires are too wide.
Your spring end and the link bolt will be closer to the tire sidewall now, make sure it isn't too close.
You also don't want your half-shafts to go beyond level as you lower it with the new bolts.
I have new 245/60R15 for tires and am in the process of bead blasting, prime and painting the rims. As soon as that happens i will get the car back on the garage floor and see what gives. I bought the spring link kit from
Zip Corvette and expected to get the original length bolts!!! Thanks for the reply's guys.
There is a lot of discussion about rear spring/ride height/bolts. There isn't a standard bolt length for any combination. The bolt is made to be adjustable. If it isn't long enough, ride height to high, get a longer bolt and visa versa. The threads on the bolt are there too make adjustments. If your *** is up in the air, you need a longer bolt. You can get the wrong spring which would require too long of bolt. Most likely a stiff composite.
