Sounds like a diesel engine
Just when I get close to having it running it’s best, my 76 now sounds like my diesel car.
I’ve just had the starter fixed, oil leaks fixed, transmission leak fixed, and welsh plugs replaced. Now under acceleration and only whilst the car is in motion (revving the engine whilst stationary doesn’t do it) I have this horrible ticking noise. I think it might be transmission related…but that’s a guess.
ah more of a vent post then anything I guess.
If you’ve had a similar issue let me know.
I’m back to the mechanic in a few days to see if he can work it out.
