My $.02 would be to check out the backs of the brake pads. Make sure that there is some of that anti SQUEEK stuff on them. Lots of people don’t use it when doing a brake job. Good luck and let us know when you find the noise
If it’s the brake pads, the squeak sound should stop with a little brake pedal pressure.
I chased the same thing. E-brake, top seals, all joints changed. Id hear it when slowing rolling past a building or cement jersey barrier, even a tall curb, squeak squeak squeak.......
Ended up being seal in the diff, DS. Sprayed some white lithium grease on it and it went away.
Get someone to back the car up while you walk with it. You should be able to determine which corner of the car it is coming from. Also does it occur once with each revolution of the tire? If so it's not driveshaft or transmission.
Update.
U Joints have been checked and it’s not them.
Brake pad cover checked and clearance confirmed to be ok.
EBrake tested whilst driving, no change.
The sound disappeared a few weeks back after a visit to the mechanic…but the mechanic did nothing.
Due to the crazy weather in NSW Australia she’s been garaged….but I got her out today and it’s back! It’s the brakes, and it’s obvious the change in noise.
live purchased some de-squeak spray and will give that a crack and let you know.
