Carbon monoxide
Those dyno tests reflect 0 far as part throttle driving. Mine ran so much better with a full exhaust.
These arent race cars that live over 5500 all the time.

Unless there's an exhaust leak how would the levels of CO2 change at all?... The only thing putting baffles on and pipes is going to do is allow people to burn their legs and quiet her down. I actually notice a pretty significant difference in throttle response than with the stock exhaust setup. Plus it sounds awesome

Hadnt run uncorked in decades. Day I drove my A body to the muffler shop...yeah it was super fun listening to it but man was it gutless.
Cacking at 40mph in 4th gear really turned some heads..it was car guy crack!

Running loud exhaust is like eating potato chips in church: everyone looks at you in disgust but they secretly want some, too.

Let me guess, you still live at home with mommy and daddy, and you don’t care at all about how rude and annoying you are to your neighbors or anyone else around you.
Sound about right?

Super close mate! I actually don't know my dad but my mom is real mad about the car . That video was actually taken at my friends house... I live on corner lot that leads to hastings street which is super busy so none of my neighbors care infact the guy who lives beside me has a 66 mustang drag car and just down the block is a hells angles house and he has a super loud harley! I don't understand what your insult is about the mommy and daddy thing living in a house... Im still in Grade 12 like lemme guess you had 1000 acres of land when you were 17 right

No acreage, lived in the city.
But back in the day we respected our neighbors and those around us.
I still do today.
Back when I raced drag boats, I had open headers, but when I started my boat the hull would be out of the garage but the rear of the boat would always be facing in so the loud exhaust would always be in the garage to muffle the noise.
I would also let my neighbors know I would be starting it up so there would never be any issues.
You’re still young and dumb like the rest of us were.
Trust me, nobody will like you if you run that car on the streets with open headers.
Especially the HA down the street, because he doesn’t want the attention drawn to where he lives.

The amount of love i got on the streets is actually pretty insane...just today I got a dude in a GT3 stop me and invite me to a car meet in west van on cypress hill...but yeah the amount of dislike is apparent as well it’s usually middle aged white ladys who scold me...I definitely am not starting the car or leaving in the night or morning its always in the afternoon and I have a great relationship with all my neighbors man...including the hells angles fella he loves the car and when he walks his dog he always stops and talks about it...literally the day i got the headers on and was messing with a/f mixture he came by with a big smile and was like “WELL SHE SOUNDS HOT” also recently gave my mom a great lawyer for a lawsuit she has against Mcdonalds.... Im sure its gonna disturb some people but end of the day those people are going to be disturbed no matter what...even if there was baffles its not like sidepipes with baffles are “quiet” by any stretch it would still **** off the people who wanna be pissed off.

Ya fair enough mate but one thing I know for sure is you didn't get shoved into enough lockers in hs. Why don't you detune your john deere and show what it sounds like? We had a 2002 7610 when I lived in AB and it sounded like nothing even remotely close to an open header sbc ...Idk why your tryna BS. Even a quick google search of a deeres exhaust note will prove you wrong.

Obvious you never heard a poppin-John lol...yeah, I had one of those years ago too. The point being you are just exercising noise pollution...kind of like what people did back in the 90's with those booming sound systems in their car that rattled windows in traffic. Hopefully as you age some wisdom will kick in and you will realize just how juvenile it all was.

If I have to close this thread on this topic again because of juvenile bickering, it will come with sanctions for all participants.

One warning.

Ah, another mulletmobile, right on.

Op...really the old saying dont chit where you eat..it rings true. Id be pizzed (as a car guy) if that was going on in my neighborhood.
(once upon a time I was "that guy" same friends same stuff)
make noise somewhere else, neighbors arent the ones to create heat with. or at least keep it cool til you leave the area.
I had a HOA woman go ballistic on me yrs ago after I moved in.
Was timing my 'El..and its frigging loud. Were good friends today but I understood her point.
Told her husband last week id be getting it up and running soon...and would try to keep er down they appreciated it...

Had a buddy when I was a lil younger than you he was that crazed lunatic in the 'hood..well one day a neighbor came out and ripped hijm a new one. Middle aged fat man
So my friend postures up tells fatboy how hes going to rack his head and fatman gave a quick display of his martial arts prowess never seen a big dude move that fast.
Well that was the end of that. Laughed my azz off at the redneck laying in the middle of the st crying like a little kid.
Anyways not preaching just saying...I laughed a lil watching the vid but stil..

Lots of guys with their straight piped pos do their sideshows late at night a few blocks away no big deal. Nobody around that could get hurt
