Hello,
I’m Fred and I’m new to the forum. I have a 1982 Corvette I bought about a year ago. She was running good until lately. She was seating for 2-3 weeks and now she won’t start. I can crank the motor but that’s it.
Both injections prime for 2 seconds when I turn the ignition to on.
if I removed the eight sparks plug cables and I crank the motor I can see the sparks moving around on the distributor cap.
it looks like I have gas and sparks, I’m wondering why she won’t start.
Shoot some ether down the throttle bodies open and then get in and start it......does it fire? If so...then you have no spray during crank......
If it doesn't fire then you are into the ignition......
Simple test....

I used starting fluid in the throttle bodies once, before cranking the motor and it didn’t work. I’ll try again while cranking it.
I changed the distribution cap, the coil, the rotor and the ignition control module. Without connecting the eight spark plug cables on the distributor I can see the sparks going around the eight gold tips on the distributor. But when I connect the eight spark plug cables it looks like there is not voltage going thru any spark plug cables when I crank it. When I crank the motor I have about 10V DC on the +bat on the distributor. I can not believe I could have eight bad spark plugs.
