Default Tach not working, and timing light not working.

Ok, 2 remaining questions after my engine rebuild.

First, my amazement at the fact that the engine actually started!

1) I put an MSD ignition in all the way 'round, 6AL iginition, and the Corvette Tach Drive Distributor, Blaster 2 coil, and Heli-coil wires.

- Now the tach dosen't work. Its the standard 'vette tach, and it worked on the original Distributor, and I didn't do anyting inside the car. I've checked the physical connection, and the tach cable is seated and tight.

2) I can't get the timing light to work. I've got a Sears fixed inductive light. I even exchanged it thinking the light bad, but same results on the second one. I can't believe I'd get two bad ones.

- Any tricks with this setup?

I don't have any good ideas about the timing light problem other than to make sure it's hooked up right, which I'm sure you've already done. The MSD distributor requires an adapter to match your tach cable end. It just slips inside the tach drive. It's a little brass thing that should be in the parts bag that came with the distributor.
