Today I changed my inline fuel filter on my 73' (which I temporarily installed a few months ago as a first line of defense from debris getting into the carb). It is installed in between the main line and fuel filter. I also changed the paper filter in the carb. For me this is routine, I have done it may times. However, earlier today, after I finished, the metal line running from the fuel filter to the carb is leaking at the fuel filter connection. When changing the paper filter, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary when removing, then installing the fuel line from the carb. I haven't touched that connection since I installed a new fuel filter last summer. It is tight, I checked. Any thoughts?

Did you lubricate the threads and the back side of the flare prior to assembling it..? You also need to verify if the leak is between the flared fitting and the inlet nut fitting, or if it's between the inlet nut fitting and the float bowl.

Definitely between the flare and inlet nut. I not 100% positive, but I do not recall lubricating.
