I have the whole top end of engine off,so no wires or grounds are hooked up,I just replaced my passenger window motor but since I have nothing hooked up as far as wires to engine,how can I check this motor to see how my window works,since the battery is just a few feet away,is there a way I can check it without burning my new motor up, thanks.
The window motor grounds from the body of it.....the two wires going in are up and down......clip a ground jumper to the negative and clip a positive jumper to one side or the other.....the motor should spin.
Oh- I'd get a blade fuse holder/fuse to put in line with your jumper.
A dead short in the jumper wire from the battery can easily burn your hand in a nanosecond!!! Don't ask me how I know...
