Default Throttle Bracket

Hi Guys,
Have attempted to decipher earlier queries on the subject, but am now thoroughly confused and hoping for some enlightenment. Is there a different throttle bracket from the factory for a Holley (LT1), as apposed to the bracket used for a Quadrajet? I am switching from a Quadrajet to a Holley so that is the reason for the question. Actually changing engines and the new engine has a Holley and high rise. The patient is a 72 automatic.
Thanks all!

Yes, there is a different bracket. The holley bracket has tabs that sit into the mounting ear of the holley base plate. You have to watch this though as many of the fancier carbs with billet base plates do not have the recess for the holleey throttle bracket tabs.

When I switched to a Holley I also switched to a different throttle bracket which was also adjustable to take any slack out of the throttle cable. I also needed to bend the gas pedal rod a wee bit in order to get the secondary throttle blades to fully open.
