when removing my harmonica balancer I didn't remove the water pump pulley.
result, bent pulley and broken balancer.
Finding a new pulley isn't easy or so it seems. They seems to be 3/4 instead of 5/8.
Could I just drill it to 5/8 and be done with it? Finding one localy (europe) would save a ton.
the offset will be different and the bolt spacing on the 4 bolts may be different. the other short water pump pulley may be close enough to work. the offset, that is. do you have balancer and lower pulley yet? i would consider having a shop cut the hole so that it is round and on-center. tell them just under 19mm...
Would there be any downsides with fitting a 5/8 water pump(short) with a spacer and the correct pulley?
I see the stock short 5/8 pump is .17" shorter than the C3 pump. A small spacer could make up for the difference.
might even be able to fit a long pump as I don't have the stock fan. But that would probably require spacing the alternator as well.
I'd get a 5/8 pulley turned in our lathe, but we don't have one anymore. Really starting to feel the agony of losing most of our equipment and cars in a fire (March)
