Default Heater core time for my 75 A/C car

I need a new heater core and would like to find a U.S. made part but so far haven't been able to find one. Can anybody recommend a quality part that won't fail prematurely?

I see you posted this elsewhere as well.
I would have to agree with the guy in your other post.
Find a really good radiator shop to recore yours.
I disconnected mine a few years ago as it had a very slight weep. And , well I just don't need it here. And yes my defroster works just fine .
There is a radiator shop in Nambour Queensland that does awesome work. They did some work for me on another vehicle and I have a few friends who have used them.
they can rebuild a 50 year old radiator or air-conditioning condenser to better than new condition. They've been in business for something like 80 years.
This is the type of place your looking for.
Sorry, but I've read a lot of horror stories about heater cores that just don't fit right, need reinforcing, etc.
Best bet is find that old shop with old school values and get yours rebuilt.

did this couple years ago..here
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...9-l82-m-2.html

o zero nada 🇺🇸 made..i looked..
went paragon and i think mx..
2 things.. no matter where you get it.., fit the unit first as you may need to slightly bend pipes…when you doleaks are problematic..
fit it…pressure leak test it…worst case take to radiator shop and slap some more solder and recheck..
a job you do not want to do twice..
mine leaked and paragon refot and fixed for me

Got one of these two years ago from RockA..
It was the second try at RA; first one was a POS. The TSM core was much better quality and fit perfectly.

I would get my old one fixed as mentioned in a previous post. My daughter's 2011 Camaro's Heater core lasted 37,000 miles and cost close to $2k to replace. They pulled the windshield out to get it out a bit easier for the mechanic. I was not impressed as it had been maintained just like what Chevy told her to do and it still sprung a leak while she was away at school and I was not there to supervise the repair. You need to pull the windshield out to replace a heater core???? I have the core and it appears to be made of aluminum foil...

My 1968 C3 still has the original and it looks like a twenty minute job to pull the original out since the Corvette doesn't have Air conditioning. And it is made of copper versus the thin aluminum they used in the newer Camaro.
