could be vacuum advance limiter solenoid wire plug.
right side=passenger?
I forget the "system" name but,
for smog the dist vacuum advance is limited until car is in 3rd gear.
A smog device/s system.

It plugs into a temperature sending unit on the cylinder head between the 2 rear spark plugs there is a round hole in the chrome spark plug shield it goes in there, It is for the transmission controlled spark solenoid

thank you seems to run good with out it plugged in I will just leave it disconnected.
Plugs into the two spade Temp sender part of CEC its located in the RH head
