Default Glass T-Top Panels Help!

Hi! I have bought pair of glass T-Top panels for my newly rebuilt 77 vette. I need some direction in terms of installing metal side plate housing that's located on door/frame pilaster for the new latch. Is there a way to install it withour removing interior panels? Videos on youtube show that interior panels have to be removed in order to cut out piece of fiber frame and install new housing. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Can you post pictures of what you bought and why a modification is required?

I own a 77 as well. It has always been my understanding that glass T tops are 78 and up fitment. I had heard that they can be fitted to earlier cars but modifications were nessesary.
perhaps this latch mod your talking about is the nessesary modification.
If that means removing a few screws and taking your interior panels off. I just don't understand the problem.
Interior panels are easy to remove and reinstall.
