I had Hedmans that interferred but had to use them with my side exhaust, so I added some marine exhaust spacers and it took care of all the issues. The added issues was massaging the drivers side to fit the steering box and buying longer bolts to bolt it all together. I bought allen head bolts with lock wire holes so I could wire them in place once they were torqued. I also used aluminum gaskets to eliminate and possible leaks.
I am realizing this can be an issue, does anyone know of a set of headers that works with angle plug heads on the c3?
Different heads have different angles or positions of spark plugs. Dart and brodix are the best. AFR I had to dent one pipe and difficult to even install the spark plugs
I have Hooker Super Comp headers which I have used with a number of different heads with angle plugs. I currently have AFR 220 heads with raised exhaust ports. The headers clear the plugs on all the heads I have used, although I have had to get creative when it comes to installing and removing the plugs, and I run shorty plugs. I even have a custom wrench that I fabricated by heating and bending a 13/16" box end wrench, but if you're not prepared to do these things, you wouldn't be making modfications in the first place.

Rescue Rodgers. In the third picture, Is that a crack on your idler arm just above the Zerk fitting? Sorry I'm not computer savvy enough to reproduce the picture with a circle around the crack.

I have a set of Hedman headers on my heads with angled plugs and they fit fine. No corrections to any of the tubes during installation made for an easy installation. I have had great experiences with Hedman on two different engines.
I have early Chevrolet angle plug heads with Hooker side mount headers. Use Accel shorty header plugs. Also have a plug socket where one wall is cut out to slide the socket on sideways.
