Default 1970 headlights

Hello, My 1970 corvette headlights work fine on low beam , but high beams are pulsating on and off, any ideas?

Thanks,
James

The circuit breaker in the headlamp switch is overheating and causing the lights to go off until the circuit breaker resets.
Do you have stock headlights?

Sounds like a good time to install relays for your headlights.
Go to "Mad electricals" web site. Check out there tech pages for complete wiring diagrams and information.

Installing relays is a win win for your car. First it takes all the load off of your 45 plus year old wiring and switches. Now the switch just needs to trip a relay. A fraction of an amp. instead of 20 plus amps to power your high beams. and secondly, your headlights will receive full battery voltage, (if wired correctly) Which will give you brighter lights without the need to replace them.
I put relays in my car many years ago now. My lights would just go out on high beam. Pretty scary stuff on a dark night in the forest. Never a problem after relays were installed.
