Default Springs??

Recently I bought a Vette brakes 330lb rear fiberglass spring and within 50 miles it has split for unknown reasons. I will most likely be recieving a new spring from them after I send mine in. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with fiberglass springs or if mine just had a defect. It's kind of hard deciding to put in the same spring when this aleady happened within a few months of owning it. I was also looking to lower the front end and was wondering the difference in height and quality between the gymkhana and the grand touring springs.

Gymkhanas are close to an inch lower. I love the look.

Your not the only one that this happened to. That is the main reason that I went with a good old steel spring last year. If it was good enough to last for 28 years and if this one lasts another 28 years. it will be the next owners problem, for I'll be pushing up daisies by then.

Good luck

I got the 340lb TRW composite from Muskegon Brake. Two years now and no problems. Im using the touring coils in the front too. Same as stock height but stiffer. Much better ride and handling than stock. Bilsteines handle the dampning.
