In my rush to reassemble my trailing arms and put everything back on the car,
I forgot to take measurements of the half shaft flange sizes so i can make a holding fixture to press in the new joints when (if) I do my diff swap.
The existing joints felt fine when I had a feel of them, no noise or roughness in their movement, so they were left for now.

So can somebody please measure the following dimensions for me?

Bolt hole spacing -
Bolt hole diameter (yes i know it's 3/8"unf bolt, but clearance size) -
Diameter of main ring -

Yes i could buy something and ship it down here, but the weight makes it not an option....
and besides, I have access to lathes n mills in my job as toolmaker, could knock it up in my lunch break.

I found a 3D model online long time ago, but don't trust the sizes as the spindle mount model was wrong, bolt holes not correct.

Will this help? I can get better pictures next week if needed. The depth of the center machined circle is 0.101

You are overthinking this. Put the flange on the piece of stock you are fabricating and trace the 4 holes. Drill the holes 1/4” larger than the flange holes. Slip washers between the flange and the plate to fill the gap. Done.

I made mine with the bolts are one a 3.750 bolt hole circle (or spaced at 2.652" apart, square, both the axis are the same distance)
The clearance counter-bore was 2.770" (2.750 would be fine) dia, .125 deep (.100 would be fine)
It uses 7/16 bolts, or at least mine does

I tapped my 3/8-16 and bored the face, works fine. Been using it for 20 years, I just burnt out joints from some 3" shafts.

See, I wasn't going completely mad (this time anyway) about the bolt size,

must have read it on one of Gary's many posts about using a jig to stop them bending.

I'll end up using 10mm which is 20thou bigger than 3/8" and 40thou smaller than the 7/16" bolt, perfect place to be.

I like to have any tools and needed jigs ready to go when i start a job so i'm not getting held up and waiting around.

Thanks Gary for confirming my sanity is still there.
