Is this a late build NON A/C 77?
I see 2 connector housings that have no home...
Could you be more specific, the PACK-CON 1 housing or the damaged Series 56 housing?
Also the wire colors at the housing would also help...
If you have a Late Build 1977 ANY of the online FREE line diagrams will be incorrect...
The only correct manual that covers both early and late build 1977 is the 1977 Electrical Troubleshooting Manual
Along with the Assembly and 1977 Service manual this is a must have...

this is a as far as I know a late 77 and it has air. Here is the Vin number 1Z37X7S440614. I guess I have an alarm system but I don’t know where it’s at . I do see a flasher for the alarm . there’s nothing in the fender to turn the alarm on or off unless it’s in my door lock. The left connector has four wires going in to it. The color wires are two black wires one orange wire and one green . Direct connector has three wires going into it. One black wire one brown wire and one purple wire. The left connector also has the brown wire I’m sorry the orange wire going into a in-line fuse.
Here’s a picture of that left connector.

I just found a tag in the door here’s a picture of it I believe my car was built in June 1977.
Yes, your 77 is a Late Build.
I'm still not 100% sure if that connector housing you are holding is a 4 cell or 5 cell?
It is definitely a PACK-CON 1 series.
If it is a 4 cell, the only 4 cell PACK-CON 1 series housing(s) I know of in that area is the Speaker Harness connector from radio to speakers, but the Orange wire you say it has doesn't make sense. A Speaker connector at the radio would have 2 Blacks, 1 Dk.Green 1 Lt.Green wire colors for a AM/FM Mono unit.
If it is a 5 cell housing "A Couple" of the wire colors make some sense but the "2 Black" wires don't unless they are DK.Brown?.
That connector housing would also have a Yellow wire if it "WAS" the connector to the HVAC Function Control Switch.
Now for the Series 56 3 wire connector housing with Black, Brown Tan & Purple that would be for your Defogger Switch.

Reason: Strikeout Brown wire changed to Tan
