I'm running the Pro-Flo 4 XT. I initially purchased the Edelbrock branded coil they recommended and mounted it to the back of the driver's side cylinder head. That coil failed within 500 miles or so. I replaced it with an Edelbrock approved MSD Blaster 2 (#8202). I mounted it to the firewall after realizing that most coils are now made in China and I doubt their ability to handle vibrations when mounted directly to the engine the way old school coils could be.

I had the same problem. I installed the Pro Flo 4XT and couldn't figure out where to mount my coil. I came across this flat Billet mount that allowed me to mount the coil in a open space on the angled part of the firewall. It worked out great and I like the way it looks and where it mounted to. Plus, it was only around $20.

The holes are threaded, which at first i thought was dumb, but then i realized it helped me out. I took two 1/4-20 Allen bolts and threaded them through the front. That held them where i needed them to be and allowed me to get washers and nuts on the back and tighten it up without needing an extra hand.
