I'm a C4 and C6 guy, but my 79 Trans Am is in need of a few Pack-con II connectors commonly used in a slew of GM vehicles during the 70s (I'm guessing the C3 as well). A lot of these are no longer being produced and the manucfacturer Aptiv (formerly Delphi Packard) has declared them obsolete. Very few distributors have them in stock but the ones that do require a purchase of 100+ connectors. The harness manufacturers obviously have them but they won't sell harness parts by themselves. They want you to buy a harness. I prefer to stay with the original connector rather than substitute them with something else.
I see that the series 56 connectors are easier to source and yet they are an older series of connector.
Has anyone had any luck finding the Pack-con II series connector for sale in small quantities?
I don't know of any Pack-Con II connectors housings or terminals used on a least up to 79 on a C3.
There are a few Pack-Con I connector housings and terminals used 77 through at least 79.
There is also one area I know of that Pack-Con I HD housings and terminals were used and that would be the front park light extension harness Late 1977 through at least 1979.
You will need to provide part numbers of the housings and go from there.
Some of the old Black and White electrical line diagrams do have connector housing part numbers at least the Early 1977 line diagram does...

I think you may be out of luck on this one. I use Waytek a lot for pins and connectors and it looks like the 56 series is your best bet. Just use a four or six pin connector and be done with it. Good luck on your search/quest.
I can see why your looking for a single connector as the complete harness is just shy of $200.00...
I have gone through several e-bay used A/C engine harness and either that connector is missing or has the same damage as yours.
I did find this as a possibility...
Both L & R sides of the forward lamp harness connector housings to the turn signal extension harness is your part number.
Late 1977 Corvette - at least 1979 used the same.
I'm sure many other GM cars and also trucks used that housing in the same location.
Also, the male side turn signal extension connector housing like I stated in post #2 is a Pack-Con 1 and uses Pack-Con 1 HD terminals.
The HD terminal is wider then a standard Pack-Con 1 terminal.
Here is the extension harness showing the Male side connector housing...

So this is the harness that has the 08917544? The connector seems to be at the upper right hand corner of the photo. Lectric Limited, Inc. 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Harness. Front Lamp (topflightautomotive.com)
At $364, it is worse than the harness cost for a Trans Am at ~$200. I can buy 33ea of these 08917544 for $125. I was hoping someone out there would sell small quantities.
I think Aptiv is the name Delphi products go by these days, and I think they kept the same part numbers, not sure if that helps you or not.
I called Aptiv with the hope of getting a couple of samples. They said that they are obsolete, have no stock and are no longer making them. I suppose if there is enough demand in the future that someone would reproduce them.

What I'm saying is look for a used forward lamp harness from a late 70'S Gm car or truck just for the connector housings. You need 1 but if you found a set you would always have a spare.
Added:
This is just one example of a Late 1977 Corvette forward lamp harness.
If you scroll down to like the 2nd from the last photo you will see the 2 connected plastic housings between the F/M side (the housing you need) and the Male side of the front turn signal extension harness.
Like I said, this is just one example...

Not helping with your connector housing search but I found the 2 connectors housings and the 2 terminals used in these housings.
This Standard Parts Catalog covers Gr. numbers not covered in the Corvette Parts And Illustration Catalogs.
