I found this under my 77 after a trailing arm replacement. This may or may not be a part from that replacement. If not great. Figured it was worth a quick thread on here.
Did you drop your spare tire tub to replace the TAs? If so, it MIGHT be the small pin that goes into the upper end of the special long bolt that hold the lower spare tire tub up. At least that's for a 71, not sure about how your 77 is set up... It might be too thick for that, but fairly easy to confirm.

That's not the pin from a spare tire lock bolt. The lock bolt uses a much smaller diameter, split, drive pin.
