Temp gauge erratic
1969 Corvette. I only had it a couple weeks before had transmission problems. Just had the transmission rebuilt and had the shop replace old battery and did oil pan gasket while they had it.
Temp gauge seemed to work fine before. But now just bounces around. Car has been gone a couple months and I'm just a bit annoyed and rather sort it myself if possible before taking it back. I'm not the most mechanically inclined but if it's something simple enough Id appreciate the help to sort it out.
Something with the new battery or coincidence that something went wrong with temp gauge same time as transmission?

Looks like the gauge wire may be grounding out.
