You mean like this dash pad for a C4? I've not seen one for a C3, but you could probably make one yourself with some matte black material, or carpet. Or trim the C4 pad.
Do you have an oyster interior, or some other bright color? You could also try a low-gloss protectant, like 303 Aerospace.
I don't know if it was intentional, but the previous owner of my car recolored the interior to black. The dash is still black (gloss), and the top of the dash was painted matte black. I wouldn't recommend that as a solution, though.
I have a dark brown interior in my 77 and without my carpeted dash mat the reflection in the windshield is terrible.
Its black, stays in place while driving, and keeps the hot sun off the $$$ vinyl dash top. It just sits on the dash, nothing to fasten. Not to pretty to look at but
it does the trick. I just throw it in the storage if I show the car. I'm sure someone must sell them online.
The new cars with acres of windshield and dash are much much worse. Stay away from the ArmorAll and use polarized sunglasses. And don't fixate on the reflection, after a bit that is all you will see. I've had my black interior for 50 years and can't say in all that time it ever bothered me.
I just dont use any glossy protectant like the glossy armor all and never had an issue myself I have a bunch of gauges under my high rise hood which would be unreadable with a reflection if I did. my car is a 74 and the original black dash pad has no cracks so not sure that protectant is needed
Covercraft.com has several styles in many colors. I had a Dashmat brand cover that worked really well on an old van of mine. My last eye exam revealed beginning cataracts with an estimate of ten years till they need to be operated on, so polarized sunglasses should be a first choice. Sun exposure directly causes cataracts; glare off other cars and the road are best to minimize.

great.... now that's all i see... should have never opened this thread...
Glare? You call that glare? That is piddily *** glare, this is glare!
That is the sun shining on my C8 dash while looking into my garage. Fixed it by buying a center instrument hood in dull black. Now it's just like my 69 flat black.
