My 81 Starting Problem
I have a part time issue starting my stock 81 C3. Sometimes I have to move the shift leaver back and forth with the key off to get it to engage and start. If not I have nothing, no noise or buzzer. I am baffled as it cranks right up after moving the shifter back and forth between park and low 1. Sometimes it takes a couple of times doing it other times it cranks right up. I am confident that someone here can steer me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Yup, agreed. You need to pull the sides off your console and adjust the neutral safety switch.
