we try to stay away from "how much you got?". you can't do install yourself? do you have somebody local that can do it? have you discussed this with him? both price and time frame?

My L31 vortec engine fits with a stock air cleaner. I used a Cyclone intake manifold

What carb? Do you know what the carb pad height is? I'm still about a 1/4" too tall with a Speedmaster intake and Qjet and can get a stock air cleaner with a 2" elemant in, but it still just hits and the ZZ383 is starving for air.

i don't think he is settled in on the intake yet. the one blueprint supplies if he goes that route may be too tall. his iron 73 L48 intake is too old and ugly, although it fits and aluminum paint can work wonders. an eddy performer-NON rpm works well and doesn't really give anything up to the RPM or the air gap. the 80 L82 intake is aluminum and works well. and can usually be found reasonable. example. https://www.ebay.com/itm/13421944400...RoCP-4QAvD_BwE

How much vacuum do you need I am pretty sure that motor will make enough for you, you can call them and ask I have a stout 434 that rips *** and has enough vacuum to run my head lights and wiper door .
