I have an 80 with those wheels.......Lot of work to make them fit but here is what I ended up doing. The wheel mounting face is flat, so they will not clear the brake caliper without a spacer or adapter. I've had both. A 15x10 with a 5 1/2 inch BS will fit with a spacer 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch thick depending on your car. Every car is different, so best get the thicker first, and whittle it down. I tried 1/2 inch on mine and one side rubbed so I went thicker later. They will stick out about an inch,...at least my 295 55 15 drag radials do. I needed the grip, so if you don't want it poking out you will need smaller tires.
Also I installed a short spring and offset my spring bolts to gain extra tire clearance. The sidewalls move quite a bit and I did this as a precaution, not because I actually had interference.
The fronts will be 15x 8 with a 4 1/2 inch BSD and run 1/2 inch spacers. You will need long studs for both front and rear.
One other mod I made was to my bump stop. I made a limit so if the suspension ever bottomed the tire could not hit the fender. I have 4.11 gears and a 427......again just insurance not because I have actually rubbed the fender.

thank you very much i have the offset trailing arms with coilovers so no leaf spring also have the wilwood calipers. could i just buy the spacers with the studs already fitted if not where did you buy your spacers and studs . cheers kev
Motorsport Tech will make billet spacers whatever size you tell them. Mine are both hub and wheel centric so they fit like a glove.
You can not use stock studs. They will need to be replaced with long studs. Mine are Moroso 3 inch. The rear studs are a lot more work to install than the front.
Wheel adapters are different than spacers, they have the studs built in. They have to be at least as thick as the heads on the studs.
I actually tried 3/4 inch thick adaptors and they put the tire another 1/4 inch out. Motor Sport can make adaptors down to 15 mm thick, but I feel they would be too thin for safety. That’s why I chose the long stud and spacer option.

Yes, the mounting bolt heads will not be flush with the face of the adapter. Only way adapters that thin will work is when the wheel has a recess where the adapter mounting bolts mate to it. I had 15 mm adapters on a 2010 370Z and the oem wheels had a recess in the area where the adapter mounting bolts were. Otherwise, it would never have worked.
