Well,I bought the car in March drove it about 100 miles,and it was all original even though in 2009 the po said on his diary on the car he replaced cam with stock cam 2009,6k miles ago,the car has 82k original miles.
In April,I decided to get rid of original parts,and to wake this motor up being it 41 years original.so,borrowed a friends garage and replaced with E street Edelbrock heads,intake and Edelbrock carburetor and new hei distributor,new lifters,pushrods,rocker arms and put headers on,finally cranked it up in July,ran good but still didn’t think it was going to be exactly what I wanted,so at this point thought I should of done this to start with,and just pull the engine,and check crank pistons,rings,and replace cam with Comp ex268,so,that where I am at this point,very curious how it will sound with this cam,I took my headers to Jet-Hot in Burlington NC,which was 2.5 hrs from me,and they will be ceramic coated.should look nice.

and paint it while its apart..its a cleaner look than the spray bomb the whole thing idea... I agree with going with flat top or a domed piston. but it you do you have to drag it all back to the shop to balance it all
