Does anybody know where I can get a inside door lock **** removal tool for the spring for this 77 Corvette of mine thank you
thank you everybody for your input. But does anybody know a Corvette store that sells one of these.? Sure I can make my own, but I’d rather just buy one. I can’t find one anywhere in these Corvette stores. Any ideas to buy one in the store?

Any stiff wire with a hook bent into the end of it will usually work. Or find a small-ish crochet needle. The real tools are too larger to fit in there anyway

A scribe, or "nosepicker" like we used to call them will work too, just hook and pull. The right tool is always on the "help" shelf at your local part store too.

The correct tool works well on manual window cranks. But for the lock ***** I use a small spring hook.

I have been using this high tech, sexy expensive tool for many years.

Lay hook flat on door panel....insert....give a quarter twist of the handle up...and pull out.

3" nail. Hammer the tip flat and bent it 90 degrees. The next bend is about 45 degrees. The handle angle needs to be about 45 degrees to the tip so you can rotate it. It works.

Buy this tool! Amazon, google search “window crank removal tool”, where ever. Nicely pushes out clip. Then the fixture on the other end helps reinstall clip in handle groove without fumbling around. Good tools make good work….

I've always used my old Western Electric cable sewing needle to remove the clips.
Looks like this:

Agree, but this tool is too large to work properly on the lock ****. I have two of them. The large end doesn't sit down in the recess to get behind the ****. (At least on early C3's)

Like I said above about that tool. Works on manual window cranks. Not on lock *****.
And on window cranks, the clip goes on one way only.
on the lock ***** the clip can go on either way. Make certain it's oriented so as you can grab it next time!
Their will be a next time.

I have used a clean shop rag. Work it behind the lock mechanism and pull it out, it will catch on the spring and everything is everything...

on my '72 i made my own tool for the "jesus" clips removal on the lock *****.
I just used a thin 1mm thick 25mm wide piece of brass shim (just what i had laying around) and cut a 12mm wide 18mm deep groove.
slight bend in the handle to enable slide it in behind.
place a rag over the **** when you push the clip out otherwise you'll know why it's called a "jesus" clip, jesus where the f'k did that go......

All the ones I’m finding are too big .I don’t feel like making one. I just want to buy one. Does anybody know where I can buy one that will work for my C3 Corvette?

All of the suggestions are good, I used the sewing needle because it was in my WECO tool kit and it worked for me. My dad was an auto body man and had all the right tools, including the clip removal tool.
I've owned my '71 for 47 years and have only removed the clips a couple of times. I have also removed the clips to have the window crank ***** be in the same position when the windows are fully up...due to OCD.

Maybe this would work for the OP:

Thank you for the tip. Its not something that gets used that often but when needed it will come in handy.
I am ordering one. I have the other tool in my box from the late 70's, it works ok but for the $$$ will give yours a shot also.
Thanks
