Hello Everyone. I just saw this today about Moates closing down for good, See link... Moates Closed I think it was only a matter of time with all the chip issues even for the big manufacturers. They were instrumental in the beginning of CFI and changing tunes to accommodate mods. It is a HUGE struggle anymore and I can relate to this and you have to ask yourself, why am I doing this? Good luck to all that have an emulator vs a flash system. It may be just a matter of time until that is largely affected as well.

Any CFI owner who has the Moates system will miss them when their system dies. I saw the light a long time ago and went EBL which is a far superior product for CFI IMO. Moates also did some LS stuff I believe. Either way, they had their place in the industry for sure.

Wow. That's a bummer. I was burning my own chips 10-20 years ago. That was fun.

Yes I found that out the other day. I wish Craig the best in his retirement. Things like the 27fs512 chip, chip programmers, sockets are readily available from electronic suppliers. Bin files are all over the place. I wonder if anyone here has tried a Megasquirt system on a CFI car?
