200-4r trans,I`ve adjusted this thing every way I can. When I set it with the gauge for a 2psi increase,as bto recomended, the 4 barrel will not open as if the tv cable is to short.Call bto they said "let me sell you this $39 recalibration kit" ok did that,no change. Some where I saw a "tv saver"which allowed for this type problem.Does anyone know about these? The trans shifts just as you would want but no 4 barrel.Adjust it so the carb will open and it shifts terrible.I just need more carb linkage travel after max tv.
J75, are you using the linkage mount from BTO or something else. Mine is a do-it -yourself setup. I used the linkage mount off of a mid 80's full size Olds withe V-8, Quad, and 200-R4 and then hooked the tv linkage onto the carb at a point 1.1 inches from the centerline of the throttle shaft. You can also drill a hole and move you acellerator linkage closer to the throttle shaft. Alot of people seem to have this problem. See if these might help you. Hershey :chevy :chevy
Tv made ez from bto.Complete set up for q jet.Have moved pin from one end of slot to the other and it`s` very little difference after setting the line pressure.

Mine was like that at first. The TV cable is so tight that it seems like you can't get full throttle. Now it seems OK. Don't ask me why -- I use the Power of Prayer to hope the whole thing stays together, and so far it's working :D
All of this may be caused because BTO uses a very strong spring in the tranny. I don't recommend using that other device to get full throttle travel. It could screw up something else. If you keep having problems, call BTO and ask to speak with Steve Holmes himself. The other guy is OK, but he ain't the boss.
