The only way they will fit is with adapters. The only company that I know of that makes that adapters you need is Vette Brakes and Parts ( http://www.vettebrakes.com ) .
In my opinion, unless you really like the style of the 16" wheels, I would go up to a 17" wheel. The tire choices for performance tires are much better in the 17" size. The only problem is finding a rear tire on the 17"s that has enough side wall size to close the fender gap, but that may be an issue with the 16" wheels too.
