So I have to reinstall the wiper door vacuum relay mount onto the fire wall. I know that at some point in 69, they moved the location of the valve for some reason. What I need to know is which is the preferred location. More forward or more rearward. Mine originally was forward.

I think most were mounted up near the master cylinder. At some point they moved some of them to the passenger side, but my 427 with Air there is not much room over there.
Also, if you moved the mounting location the original hoses would not fit.
That's a great picture .This helps out a lot. From the looks of the mounting holes in my firewall, that's where mine should go but I see a lot of them set back about 3 inches from there.

That's exactly like on my '69. It's removed now, since I've converted to an electric wiper door.
