Default 1981 Corvette Power Door Locks

Hello everyone; I just re-did my passenger side power door locks (locks, actuators, and pigtails) and it works perfectly fine with a key and everything even when closed. However; on the driver side with a key it does not engage fully into the unlock position. I have to manually push the locking linkage up with my finger just a little bit to get it to fully engage to open the door (with a key) I see no binding on my new actuator or door linkage, everything is cleaned and greased up. But I think it’s something to do with the lock cylinder. I’ll include some photos of the trouble area; I feel that the end of the cylinder is either worn out or not operating correctly causing the linkage to not engage into the full unlock position. First picture with the tab that says “19” is what I have to manually push up just a tad bit for it to click to open the door. Second is the suspected area. I’d appreciate any help.

I see that the door lock pawl is moving significantly on the driver side and not moving at all on the passenger side. It moves back a little bit when you try to unlock the door. Could that piece be the culprit and reason of the door not unlocking with the key? And how hard is it to replace?

You might need a new set of door lock cyliders, since it seems as though you have restored the power lock operation.

Thanks for the reply; I ordered the other pieces but not the cylinder since it worked fine without the power lock rods connected. If it fails to be the pawl; I will order a new cylinder and post the fix whichever way it decides to go.
