Fuel Injector problem for 1982 CE Crossfire
Hi Can you help me please?
The rocker cover gaskets on my 82 CE were leaking. So I changed the drivers side and started the engine, with no problem. Then I changed the gasket on the passengers side and in doing so, had to push away the wiring harness to lift out the rocker cover (some of those wires go to the injectors). When I then started the car, the fuel pulsed through the injector as normal and turned off the engine. I then started the car again and the fuel poured through both injectors at full capacity with the injectors remaining open.
Do you think because I moved the wiring harness, one of the wires has broken or become loose perhaps? This had not happened before prior to me removing the rocker covers and touching the harness. Or is it coincidence that the ECM has packed in ?

Well if you want to take the electrical equation out of it just simply unplug the injectors and see if the problem stops. One thing to note is that the entire engine management system grounds at the right side of the intake manifold, near the valve cover.
