Question about 82 Corvette Crossfire EFI idle problems
Hi. I’ve got an 82 Corvette. It has the original twin throttle bodies. I’m having issues with inconsistent idle. It idles high frequently. Otherwise runs great. I’ve checked for vacuum leaks. Replaced distributor, fuel pump, map sensor, filters. Can’t find a leak anywhere. I’ve serviced the transmission and replaced actuators on the headlights. I’ve replaced the alternator. Any ideas of what else I can do to solve the problem?

Maybe I'm missing something here, but if you have a vacuum leak and can't find it, maybe it's not a vacuum leak. Have you looked at the IACs to ensure they are both working as they should? Have you verified that both IACs are cycling when you short pins A&B on the ALDL? IACs are for idle, nothing else. I hope you didn't replace a dizzy for an high idle. It appears that you are shotgunning parts and not troubleshooting the issue, but I may be wrong. Do you ever get a CEL? Do you have a 82 GM service manual? Lots of good info in that manual. GL
