Default Whats up with this?
My 73 is blowing out watery soot on the left side exhaust, for a minute on start up any ideas on cause?

Here is a guess. Water is from condensation on the cold exhaust pipes. Soot is from normal deposits in the pipe. Left side only is due to exhaust heat riser during warm up.

Has headers on it. Remember my old man saying time to take the
1972 Olds
and "blow the carbon out."
