thats a phony dyno chart , I mean what mild big block with only 480 horse power at 6000 rpm has peak torque at 4500 rpm is total bull **** !! BULL **** .
Then call Sanderson Headers and tell them what you think.
If you have the guts to.
If not, your just another blowhard who knows nothing.
It STILL is NOT. a comparison of shorties vs. factory Corvette dyno results for the same engine. I don’t know how else I can get this across to you?
Regarding 1/4 mile times there are WAY too many variables that is why the dyno results I speak of above are the only real thing that mean anything.
The factory cast manifolds will be outperformed by a well designed shorty. The dyno posted above showed improvement in some meaty areas of the power band over a LT, which undoubtedly leads one to believe it would walk all over a stock manifold. I dont know how else I can get this across to you?

I've seen a lot of bold statements made here, and this definitely ranks up there. I'll be nice and leave it at that

You keep referring to this dyno that compares factory exhaust manifolds to long tube headers which have NOTHING to do with a comparison to the factory manifolds and shorty headers. You have not shown any fact based (dyno results between manifolds and shorty headers on the same engine) info to support your continued statement that shorties have any gain that would make any economically sense. Until you or anyone else provides some FACTS your comments on this will not be viewed as meaningful.
For the benefit of the OP, I suggest checking out Classic Chambered for inserts when you do go to the Doug’s/Hooker style side pipes.
I was nosing around and I came across something that said CC inserts were compared to no inserts-wide open pipes and the CC inserts only lost something like 7 hp. They seem to have it figured out pretty well.
I just installed a set of CC Vette packs and I’m itching to get out and see how they sound and perform. Stupid winter. 🥶
