Default Spindle condition

Got my passenger side knuckle assembly off. New territory for me. Just curious to get a quick assessment as to whether anything looks bad with this spindle...meaning too worn??
Thanks.

I don't see anything worn on that spindle, including the surface for the inner bearing grease seal. Clean er up and put er back together. It looks like you need to replace the grease seal if you haven't already.

Thanks. Just curious your comment about the seal...and I am still learning here...do you say that because of the amount of the grease that is shown on the spindle. Currently the seal is in the hub I took off.

I do intend to replace everything I should..but first wanted to make sure I was building back better on a good spindle!

Yes, definitely mentioned the seal bc of all the grease on the spindle. It could be other stuff, like brake fluid leaking from the caliper, but go with grease for now. The seal is exactly where it's supposed to be. To replace it, you tap it into the seal bore on the hub, preferably with a correct size driver tool, but you can use PVC pipe.

Again I thank you!! I was very happy to get this assembly off today. Could not get the lower ball joint out despite copious PB and pounding with a pickle fork. Have a local shop who can probbably help me with that. Hopefully have better luck with the other side.

Out of sheer frustration at a lower ball joint from time to time, I just unbolt it from the lower control arm and take the spindle to a machine shop and get the joint pressed out
