Are the capacitors in my 68 all the same ? Supposedly there are about four of them in different places. I broke the wire off of the one on the back of the tach. Does it mater which one is where or are they specific for which one goes where ?
Honestly it's probably been dead for a lot of years anyway (they have a lifespan) and it was mostly for AM radio pops.
You can swap it for any of the others that are easier to get to later, I think there would be one on the heater motor with the same connector

If you have replaced your radio with a newer one, chances are you don't need the noise suppression filter. Or, if you have a stock radio with no ignition whine and only hear a "pop" when you turn it on, replace the filter capacitor or just ignore the "pop".
The capacitors are NOT the same. The one on the ignition is for ignition whine; the one on the alternator is for alternator whine. The one on the radio and on the brake light switch might be the same value.
