Yep, even if I had a good space, I couldn't go in the building and leave it for 8 hours exposed. I have enough trouble buying gas if I have to go in and wait in line.
Oh man...I wish I could tell you how bad work parking was...
We have a parking lot the size of two football fields that are gravel...yep..gravel...it's completely moronic...I wanted to shoot the person who thought it was a good idea....Hmm Let me think
Let me put lots of open space....add some rocks...we can drive on them...and drive fast...Yeah Real swift one
so needless to say we have quite a few broken windows every month...and needless to say...I don't drive my baby to work...(even though it can't be driven right now anyways :) ) but if I could I wouldn't, unless they gave me the owners spot... :boxing and that wouldn't be pretty either
...do you WANT to drive your Vette to work, but the parking choices are less than acceptable for parking your baby?
My parking lot is FULL by the time I get in, and the street spots are risky, at best.
And even if I could park in the lot, the spots are tiny! :banghead:
Nope, not like you at all  While our lot isn't very big and most of the spots are compact sized spaces, I get to work early enough that I get one of the prime spaces (standard size up front). The car is usually visible from the receptionists desk - she is well trained to keep an eye on my car  .
But if the choice spots are gone - I'll park it anywhere - since I drive it everyday - except this week :cry
When i get the car back this weekend - I'll get to drive it again - getting paint fixed - new spoiler painted - sidepipecovers painted - color sand whole car again - fix paint chips and some parking lot damage (not my work lot....)
How about driving the 'Vette to college? I could just see some college kid fling his car door open carelessly right into the side of the 'Vette. I have a commuter pass but choose to park at the meter when I drive the 'Vette. The reason being is that some of the teachers park at the meters so I would think they'd be a little more careful. I also only drive it whenever I have one class so it only has to sit for about an hour.
i drive my vette to school everyday, my only car i kinda need to buy i park way down between two trees so no one can park next to me, and its out of direct view, Im still afraid someone is just going to be a college ***** and come key my door or something along thoes lines. I have the only "student" vette at my school as well :smash:

Re: Are ya like me... (HcDave1)
Where I work, we have assigned parking spots. They are divied out on basis of how long have you worked for the company. There are over 600 spots in our lot. I have 12 years and it is a pretty darn good stroll to work for me. My buddy that has 17 years is only 3 spots away from me. When I walk in the parking lot, is about 80% at least empty. Kinda makes me feel like a kindergartner. This is one of the many :bs things that I just love about my work. :cuss
