Timing light and MSD question

Timing light and MSD question
I need a timing light and would like to get an advance light (Auto ZOne 69$). Any way I seem to remember reading somewhere that these don't work well with MSD's. Did I hear this or is it my imagination? If so what do you all use for lights? Bill.
