Default Help with tail light issue

Hey all, I'm helping my neighbor with an issue on his '78 pace car. Here are the symptoms:

Brake pedal only lights a single filament on each side and they are different filaments lighting up.
Turn signal blinks the driver side, does not blink the pass side but does light the filament.
Hazards blink but dim on the rear pass side.
Park lights work but dim on rear pass side.

I have checked both sockets and bulbs and both are good.
Removed and cleaned the rear driver side frame common ground.

At this point, I'm leaning towards an issue with the directional signal unit in the column but it's such pain to get to I haven't done any probing other than disconnecting/reconnecting the harmonica connecter.

What do you all think? Looking for ideas and suggestions to isolate the culprit. Thanks.

Check if you are getting over 12v on the dim lights with a voltmeter attached to a good ground.

First, make sure that the 1157 bulb is installed correctly.
Sometimes the socket loses the ground connection, to test run a wire to a good ground and touch the other end of the wire to the brass part.
If the lights works correctly then replace the socket.

Yep we've replaced the sockets as the grounds were intermittent. Bulbs installed correctly. I will do the ground bypass just to make 100% certain the new sockets are good. What has my head scratching the most right now is that the right side blinker lights but doesn't flash yet the left side blinker flash. Would this be due to lack of current on the right side that's dim not powering the flasher with enough current?

Check the right front light bulb. I believe if one is burned out its companion won't flash.
