I have an 82 vette. An the person before did some janky stuff an wired the horn into the brake switch so now when you put in the fuze for it the horn blows an the brake lights stay on an legit melt down the wire. So I was rewiring a new brake switch only to find out I am kinda stuck and not sure what to do. As the brake light a turn signals work as they are suppose to the day light doesn’t. I used a 5 prong relay to wire the tail lights into the brake switch. So “theoretically” the brake light a turn signal works. But the day light isn’t. There are 3 wires. A yellow wire. Witch has 12v only when the turn signal is activated A brown wire witch has 12v when day time is on, an 12v when the brakes are applied, and than a black wire witch is a consultant ground. If someone could post a schematic on how to “rewire the brake a day time lights” that would be amazing.
Wow! So English isn't your first language.
brake lights go through the turn signal switch. So I have no idea what your doing with that relay.
Free wiring schematics are available here in C3 general. Scroll through the posts. It's usually on the first page.
look for a thread titled " 68-82 wiring schematics for everyone".
The link to the wiring diagrams is above... I am not that great at wiring myself to offer specific advice but in a case like this where someone screwed things up, I would start over. Take the horn out of the picture and rewire the tail lights, then worry about the horn...
I am re wiring the brake lights to the brake switch, when doing wiring I always like to use relays and in line fuzes. I followed this wiring schematics for the brake light switch.
as stated there are only 3 wires that go into the socket for the brake light. A black witch is ground, a yellow witch is 12v when the turn signals come on. And then a brown witch is 12v with the day time, or when the brakes are applied. The issue is that the the turn signal a brakes work with the new wiring and switch but the day time lights don’t. So do you know how to make the day light work as well, or are you really clueless an just wanna sound cool on the internet
