I’m a huge fan of hardlines where applicable. Get yourself a roll of 3/8 nicop line and some tube sleeves and tube nuts. Where things need to flex I use braided lines.
I also like nicopp. But I don't like compression fittings. Nicopp double flares like butter. So use Nicopp hard lines as needed but use double flare -6 fittings to -6 flex line as needed.

I just did a 56' Chevrolet with nicopp and used the inverted flare to -6 adapter and a hose Barb to the stock style fuel pump....Parker hose...about 4".....
Did the whole supply line with P-clamps and fittings....and the pressure side with 4 hose ends, line and filter in a little over an hour.....easy button....
I nicopp because you can fudge the crap out of the bends to get what you need and bend it back too if not what you want....super easy to work with....
Nicopp is brake line so pressure is no issue. Standard -6 SS rubber lined hose is rated to 1200 PSI? Teflon line -6 is rated to 2500 PSI? They do make rubber FI line that is fine for 50 PSI. Just use FI style hose clamps.
