Looking at the AIM I do not see anything that these two clips attach to. As you can see the console is to far gone to save so I have one on order Every project I get into has its “while I’m at it” adventures

Next the instructions say to fit the trim plate. I placed the rear in position loosely and installed the two rear screws.
next I pushed the front into position but seen where there was an area I had to clear to get it to come down flat
You can see where the ash tray/lighter bracket sticks out causing the plate from moving into position so I used a Dremel to grind away the area Once the trim plate was loosely fit I used my heat gun to warm up the outer edge and pulled ithe plate into place with the four screws
now I need to clean up the trim plate and reinstall the assembly
