I have a 69 Vette that I dont drive to often. I am far from being a mechanic, and was hoping someone may be able to provide some insight for me. When I downshift, it feels like the car is slightly pulling to one side. What would cause this issue? Otherwise, the car seems fine. Anything with the independent drive shafts at the rear? Very odd. It could be many things. Start with an under inflated tire, sticky brakes, cocked caliper piston or a clogged rubber brake line or a suspension and wheel alignment. Jerry
I had that issues on a C2. My issue was bad bushings in the trailing arms. As others have stated check the easy stuff first. Tires,brakes... Good Luck.
If it's trailing arm bushings and or shims, it could make driving a challenge. If it's brakes or a bearing, it could be catastrophic. Why take the risk? Jerry
