I'm rebuilding a Saginaw 4 speed, I need an 8 tooth drive gear that fits a 1.178" dia. shaft.
I'm told a Muncie gear will fit, can anyone confirm this?
Due to the splined ID of the gear I removed I can not get a good measurement of it.
Info online lead me to believe the TH350, Muncie and Saginaw gears were all the same.
I purchased a TCI gear, the ID is too large, the TH350 gear is not the same as the Saginaw gear.
Can anyone direct me to a vendor that has Muncie speedometer drive gears?
The only one I can find online is metal, not splined plastic like what I found in the transmission.
I have worked with AutoGear in New York- they are ridiculously generous with their time and knowledge, particularly the owner. They have all the parts you will probably need and will advise you as needed. Good luck.
