I need to replace the three wire plug that goes to my Blower Motor Relay on my 75. There are 3 wires in the one plug. Looks like orange is 12 ga, purple is 12 ga and dk blue is 14 or 16 ga. All I can find is one that has all the wires 16 ga (all black). The color is no big deal but would having the other two wires smaller hurt anything? I did find one that looks like all three are 12 ga. which one would be better? Or does anyone know where I can find the correct one? Thanks!!
The factory would not have used any larger wire than necessary to handle the amp load, so, the short answer is yes, 16ga in place of 12 ga is a bad idea.
Where have you sourced your harness from so far?
Yes, you need the factory size....that is why there is a relay there.....Orange and Purple have to be 12ga, that is the feed.......the smaller blue wire turns the relay on.....
Get the housing and source some crimp on blade terminals from a Terminal Supply....you can pop the others out with a pick....just bend down the retaining tang.....
Get Pro crimping pliers to do the best job......

Thanks for the reply. I have looked and called several sites and not found the OEM unless you buy the entire AC Harness. I did find and ordered one that has all 12 ga. and will replace the one 12 ga with 16 ga.
You really don't need to do that. Wires that are larger than needed may be overkill, but won't hurt a thing. With electrical wiring bigger is always better. Smaller is a absolute no no!

You don't have to but it looks cleaner with no splice
